How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a Blogging Expert?

I have been blogging for my own business as well as for my clients’ businesses for nearly 10 years. When I started my first business “Well Organised” in 2008, setting up as an Organiser and Declutterer, I had to learn everything about online marketing from scratch. Even though I have a marketing degree, online marketing was not even a concept when I was at uni. There was no internet. But I’m a quick study and soon I learned all I could about this new medium. Blogging, in particular, became a passion of mine. The impact blogging can have on setting yourself up as an expert plus all the technological benefits, such as search engine optimisation, that can be achieved through blogging really appealed to me.

I attended courses, listened to podcasts, watched webinars; in short, I did everything I could to become an expert in the field. To my surprise, I realised that blogging was actually a lot more fun than my actual job, organising people’s time and spaces. So, in 2013, Well Organised Marketing was born and I have been helping other small business owners make the most of their expertise through regular online blogging ever since, partly through blogging for them but mostly for teaching them how to blog for themselves.

This also ties in with my love for teaching. I love to see those light-bulb moments happen for others, the moments when they realise they can do this and it’s actually not that difficult. I used to teach IT to adults before I set up my first business, so teaching is something I have been doing for a very long time and people keep telling me that I’m very good at it. So, I’m taking their word for it and keep doing what I’m good at.

Who are your clients exactly?

I work with people in a wide variety of professions, who are entrepreneurs and small business owners, and who are really passionate about what they do. They lack, however, the knowledge how to write about their business in a way that catches the attention of potential clients and need the technical knowledge to run a successful business blog. What happens if you haven’t yet worked with people in my field?

As you can see, I have worked with clients in a wide variety of industries. If I haven’t worked with someone in your particular industry, however, don’t be discouraged. The strategies I teach can be applied to any industry, and I will show you how to adapt them to your particular field.

How are you different from other “blogging experts”?

Most other blogging experts are often just copywriters who do not know the particular nuances that are needed for successful blog posts. In addition to that, I have a background in adult education, so teaching comes as second nature. I only train entrepreneurs and as an entrepreneur myself, I understand what our constraints are and this helps me to keep you on track in difficult times.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

My Business Blogging Training was created for entrepreneurs who are passionate about their business, understand the value of regular blogging and are committed to creating regular content. You will be expected to take consistent action on what you have learned, otherwise you will not gain the benefits you are hoping for.

For what type of professional is this programme NOT going to work?

The programme is not going to work for people who collect “shelf help”. These are people who sign up for courses and programmes and don’t implement what they are learning. If you decide that you’d rather not create your own content then it’s probably best to consider outsourcing, rather than going through this process yourself.

What exactly is Business Blogging Training and what does it include?

Business Blogging Training is a 3-month training programme taking you from understanding why blogging is essential for your business all the way to being able to create valuable, shareable blog posts on a regular basis.

The process starts with an in-depth conversation to find out your exact needs, according to which I prepare your training. Each person’s training and coaching is bespoke, there is no cookie-cutter approach. One size does not fit all.

Your training then begins with a 2-hour intensive training session. You then go away and start working on your own blogging. We schedule coaching calls in regular intervals depending on the package you choose. Available options are weekly, twice-monthly or monthly. On top of that, there is email support throughout. And as a special bonus, you will gain lifetime access to my online blogging course.

A maintenance option is available if you want to continue with the support after the initial 3 months.

How quickly can I expect results?

Content marketing is not a quick fix. There is no magical way to increase your web traffic overnight and to provide you with expert status. All this happens through continuing efforts over time. That said, most clients will start to see a noticeable increase in web traffic by the end of our 3 months together if they have followed my advice. As with all things, the more you put in, the more you get out of it.

Will I recover the investment I put into this training programme?

Blogging generates traffic for your website and with the tools I teach, you can turn this traffic into leads. It is then up to you to turn these leads into sales through continued direct marketing efforts and sales strategies.

If you consider how much money each new client is worth for your business, you may find that amount will more than cover your training investment.
